Although we put good dispositions, overall intelligence, big hips and pretty heads as a higher priority than color, we do really like blue roan quarter horses. Black quarter horses are also another personal favorite of ours.
The stallions we own for breeding are blue roan or black and they are producing a high percentage of these colors.
Our band of mares currently consists of about twenty-five blue roan and black ranch bred mares. Many times you cannot tell what color a horse will be until it has shed its baby hair at five to six months of age, but we will try to show our foals early on this page so you can see what we see out of our kitchen window each day.
Good Mares and Better Foals
An afternoon snack at Black and Blue Quarter Horses. These babies are some of the fine looking foals we have in 2012.
